It was a day to forget for the Atlas Lioness of Morocco late on Tuesday night as their joy turned to sorrow after they failed to reach the Olympics despite their first-leg feat.
The North Africans produced a magnificent performance in the first leg in Lusaka to pick a vital 1-2 away win.
They were confident going into the second leg at home in front of their vociferous crowd in Rabat but it was never meant to be.
The game stood goalless until the 95th minute when the tide turned in favour of the Zambians when they were awarded a penalty in the 96th minute which was well converted by Barbra Banda.
Banda added the second goal a few moments later to silence the home crowd and earn Zambia a 2-3 win on aggregate.
It means Zambia joined the Super Falcons who had earlier in the day edged the Banyana Banyana of South Africa 1-0 on aggregate.
