Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro is looking forward to beating Roberto Mancini led Saudi Arabia in today’s international friendly game.

In an exciting encounter set to take place at the Estadio Municipal de Portimao in Portugal on Friday, Jose Peseiro will test his tactical prowess against Roberto Mancini as Nigeria faces Saudi Arabia in a friendly match.

This showdown is scheduled to kick off at 6pm CAT (SA, GMT+2) on today, October 13, 2023.

Super Eagles are set and ready for the game as they had a preparatory training ahead of the encounter on Thursday.

Peseiro, the head coach of Nigeria, recently agreed to a pay cut to extend his contract with the Super Eagles for an additional six months. His initial one-year contract expired at the end of June. The Portuguese tactician is steadfast in his belief in the current pool of players and aspires to lead the West African team to a fourth AFCON title in Ivory Coast next year.

Peseiro’s squad secured their spot in the continental showpiece as Group A winners, triumphing in five of their six matches, with a single setback – a 1-0 loss to Guinea-Bissau on March 24. They concluded the qualification campaign with an impressive 6-0 victory against Sao Tome and Principe, marking their third consecutive win, during which Victor Boniface made his national team debut.
