Deputy Governor, Edo State, Phillip Shaibu, immediate past Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare, late Jerry Okorodudu, Yemi Idowu, President, Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Eng Abu Gumel, Chairman/CEO ADRON Homes Aare Adetola Emmanuel, Wife of former Governor Benue State, Dr Eunice Erdoo Ortom will be awarded by the Nigeria Olympians Association for their contributions to the development of sports in Nigeria.
Olympians who will also be awarded include; Fransome Adeyanju, Yusuf Ali, Segun Toriola, Funke Oshonaike, Henry Amike, Lawrence Adegbeinde, Samson Oyeledun, Falilat Ogunkoya, Christy Okpara and Jerry Okorodudu.
Others are; Muyiwa Oshode, Ganiyu Salami, Durojaiye Adigun, Kenneth Olayombo, Emilia Edet and Ogenejobo Peters.
The Nigeria Olympians Association (NOA) whose Summits and Awards holds today at the Musa Yar Adua Centre Abuja will reward some outstanding individuals and Olympians with prestigious awards tonight.
The Royal Father of the day is Oba Elegushi.
The NOA held its Congress on Wednesday at the Media Centre of Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja where 30 members were in attendance.
