Head coach Jose Peseiro will get to put the finishing touches on his team strategy, as well as have an idea of his starting squad for the Portugal friendly, as the Super Eagles will on Wednesday have its final training at the Estádio Jose Alvalade at 7:30 pm Nigeria time.
The Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon will host the tune-up game between Qatar 2022 World Cup-bound Selecao of Portugal and Nigeria on Thursday, with a kickoff time of 6.45 pm Portugal time (and 7.45 pm in Nigeria).
According to the schedule of activities lined up on the eve of the game, the 23 Eagles in camp, led by captain William Troost-Ekong will undergo a light practice session at 7:30 pm under the close supervision of Peserio and his assistants.
The first 15 minutes of the practice session are open to the press.
At 8:45 pm, Nigeria’s Portuguese coach and one of his players will get to meet the press to preview the match in the conference room of the Estádio Alvalade.
Thursday’s friendly will be 4th for Peserio since taking over the ruins of the Super Eagles after Nigeria missed out on a spot to Ghana Black Stars in the Qatar 2022 World Cup CAF qualification.
Peseiro will seek to better his record as regards friendly matches with Nigeria, having lost the previous three to Mexico, Ecuador and Algeria.
