Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly initiated contacts to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United this summer.
The 37-year-old’s future is dominating the talk of the summer transfer market after he allegedly told the club he wants to leave in the coming weeks.
Ronaldo is not confident that he can fulfill his silverware ambitions at Old Trafford, although he has welcomed the arrival of Erik ten Hag as head coach.
However, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been left frustrated with a lack of early summer signings, as the Red Devils have only welcomed Tyrell Malacia to the club so far.
With Ronaldo determined to win at least one more Champions League before his playing career comes to an end, the Portugal international is being tipped to complete a move to another European powerhouse.
PSG is thought to be one of a handful of clubs who could afford Ronaldo’s pay packet, and according to journalist Pedro Almeida, the Ligue 1 champion is now in talks over a move.
Almeida claimed that PSG sporting director, Luis Campos has spoken with Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes to sound out the idea of a move to the Parc des Princes for his client.
Such a transfer would see Ronaldo form a historic forward line with Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, although Neymar continues to be linked with a move away.
