Paris Saint-Germain‘s Qatari owners are allegedly growing “fed up” of Brazilian attacker Neymar. The 30-year-old has endured a frustrating campaign with injuries and has managed just seven goals and five assists in 22 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino‘s side.
Neymar has helped PSG win three Ligue 1 titles and three Coupe de France crowns since becoming the world’s most expensive player in 2017, registering a total of 94 goals and 57 assists in 138 games for Les Parisiens.
However, according to L’Equipe – via Marca – the powers-that-be in Qatar have become increasingly frustrated with Neymar’s off-field lifestyle and believe that the former Barcelona man “prefers Paris to PSG”.
The report adds that the club’s owners do not feel that their decision to fork out €222m (£185.5m) plus his mammoth salary has been justified by his performances, but it will be almost impossible for the club to be able to offload him this summer.
Neymar extended his PSG deal until the summer of 2025 last year – a decision which PSG chiefs supposedly regret – and he has been booed by his own supporters in the current campaign
