The coach of the Cheetahs of Benin, Gernot Rohr, has tipped Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman to emerge as the African Player of the Year.
The consistent performance of the Nigerian International for both country and club has endeared him to numerous football fans and stakeholders.
The Franco-German gaffer heaped praises on the hardworking attacker and also hopes he didn’t score against them.
“For me, Lookman is the best one in Africa to win the Golden Award for the Footballer of the Year; he is a fantastic player”.
“But I hope he will not score against us (on Thursday) like he did in the last game in Uyo”, he said.
