Debates and speculations continue to surround the future of the Super Eagles boss Finidi George.

The defeat of the team to the Cheetahs of Benin has generated a lot of arguments about his appointment as the coach of the team.

While speaking to Brila, former Super Eagles defender Sam Sodje, said sacking him may not be bad if the county wants to play at the World Cup.

” The NFF has to sort themselves out, if you sack him, what are you expecting to get.

” Well yes, coaches are being judged on results, he has not got his results right now.

” Our aim is to qualify for the World Cup, if we keep going the way we’re going, we won’t qualify.

” So it’s not about Finidi George, it’s about what we want, so sacking him may not be the worst idea, because we need to be in the World Cup.

” I’m not talking about Finidi, the legend, I’m talking about the coach, he’s not good enough.

He’s a legend as a player, and as a manager when he was given the job”, he said.
