Mohamed Salah and Sergio Ramos were reacquainted at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai four years after their now infamous on pitch collision in the 2017-18 Champions League final.

Both Salah and Ramos were at the awards ceremony, with the former nominated for Best Men’s Player and Ramos being honoured as the Best All-Time Defender, and appeared to bury the hatchet.

The pair clashed in the 2018 Champions League final with Salah driving with the ball towards the Real Madrid goal, only for Ramos to tackle him to the ground, inadvertently resulting in an injured shoulder for the Egyptian.

The Liverpool forward had been nominated for Best Men’s Player but ended the evening picking up the award for Fans’ Player of the Year.

He was beaten to the main award by Los Blancos striker Karim Benzema, who scored 15 goals in 12 games as his side won a record-extending 14th Champions League title.
