Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman was the hero on Saturday afternoon as Atalanta secured maximum points in their final game of the year.
At the Gewiss Stadium, Atalanta hosted Lecce and it was Lookman who netted the only goal of the game in the 58th minute.
The outcome of the game will gladden the heart of the Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro as Lookman is expected to be one of the key players for the team in Ivory Coast.
Since his debut in the national team, Lookman has become a regular player for the Super Eagles.
His goal against Lecce on Saturday took his tally in the league this season to 7 goals.
