Despite intensifying his rehabilitation in the gym, the manager of the Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad Alguacil Imanol is not certain about the return of injured Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar to the team.
Sadiq joined Real Sociedad from Almeria last summer and sustained an injury in a game against Getafe on September 2022.
After having a Scan test the doctor confirmed that the Nigeria international suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.
Till now, he has not resumed training and hoping to return before the season end, the manager on Tuesday afternoon made it clear that is not sure about his return.
“It would be very risky to say no, but I wouldn’t say yes either,” the coach said.
Real Sociedad are already eliminated from all title races this season and the club is now fighting for a place in European competitions next season.
