AC Milan are trying to sign Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze for the right wing and Stefano Pioli spoke personally to the player on Thursday.
According to the latest from Sky, Milan is working on several different options for the midfield role after the signing of Ruben Loftus-Cheek which should become official at some point soon.
However, the Rossoneri management is also looking at other roles that need addressing and they are insisting on getting the Nigerian from Villarreal, who the scouting area agree is the ideal profile.
Stefano Pioli had another direct phone call with the Nigeria international on Thursday during the day, which is another strong sign of the club’s willingness to bring him to Italy.
Milan and Villarreal are still in talks over Chukwueze, who is expected to be sold for a fee in the region of €30m.
