Sunday Dare, 10 Others Honoured At WNFF/Taiwo Ogunjobi Award Night

The Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare was among eleven men and women recognized personalities honored at the maiden Western Nigeria Football Federation (WNFF) and Taiwo Ogunjobi Award Night in Osogbo on Sunday night.

Others who also received awards includes, Rafiu Ladipo, Omolade Oluwateru, Gbenga Elegbeleye, Adebutu Kessington and Kunle Soname.
Meanwhile, Yemi Idowu, Segun Odegbami, Ayo Omidiran, Bola Jegede and Tijani Yusuf completed the starting eleven in the list.

They were awarded in the presence of eminent Nigerians which includes all the six Southwest Football Association chairmen. Chairman of the occassion who doubles as Lagos State FA Chairman, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, Ondo FA Chairman, Otunba Dele Ajayi, Oba James Odeniran, Oyo State FA Chairman, Ganiyu Majekodunmi, Ogun FA Chairman, Abdulrazak Mustapha Osun FA, and Bayo Lanlege, Ekiti State FA Chairman as well as Tijani Yusuf, Musa Amadu , Felix Owolabi, Fanny Amun amd Bolaji Ojo-oba.

The WNFF/Ogunjobi U15 Football Tournament and Awards is annual event orgainsed by the six states in South West which comprises of Oyo, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo.

Remo Stars won the maiden U15 Football Championship after defeating hosts, Osun 1-0.
