Super Eagles Arrive San Jose For Costa Rica Friendly

The Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, arrived in San Jose ahead of Thursday’s international friendly against Costa Rica.

The coach Jose Peseiro tutored side arrived in San Jose at 5:30am Monday morning with 18 home-based players ahead of their international friendly match against World Cup bound Costa Rica.

Although the Super Eagles are three-time African kings but were unable to make it to the World Cup losing the ticket to Ghana on away goal rule. Nigeria drew 0-0 in Ghana only to play 1-1 draw in Abuja, and paved way for the Black Stars to fly their country’s flag in Qatar.

Nigeria will play another international friendly match with Portugal ahead African Nations Cup qualifier with Guinea Bissau on 20th March, 2022 scheduled to hold in Nigeria.

However, the 1994 African champions lost their last friendly match to Algeria in Oran.
