Nigeria’s Super Eagles duo of Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi continued their impressive performance as they combined to give Fulham FC a 1-2 win against Manchester United.
The duo played a pivotal role in the Super Eagles’ impressive outing at the just-concluded 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Both started the game at Old Trafford on Saturday and it was Bassey who netted the opening goal in the 65th minute after a scoreless first half.
Harry Maguire equalised for the Red Devils in the 87th minute before Iwobi 97th minute strike sealed the game for the Cottagers.
