Super Eagles of Nigeria is valued at €451.60 million to be ranked the most valuable national team in Africa and 10th in the world.
The 2013 African champions posted the latest ranking on their official X handle on Saturday. The Nigeria senior national team are the only African team in the Top Ten ranking of the world football. “We are now ranked as the 10th most valuable squad in the world and the most valuable squad in Africa.” The post reads.
The Three Lions of England that worth €1.37 billion occupied the No 1 position with France rated Second with €1.05 billion net worth. Cristiano Ronaldo led Portugal (€990.00 million) came Third while Brazil occupied the Fourth position with €969.00 million and Spain claiming the Fifth position (€811.00m).
Current World Cup holders, Argentina are rated 6th (€797.50m) followed by Germany (€789.50m). Italy and Netherlands are placed 8th and 9th with (€636.50m) and (€519.00m) respectively.
Super Eagles in November will face Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the race to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 1994 African champions are placed in group A with the hosts, Ivory Coast, Equatoral Guinea and Guinea Bissau at 2023 African Nations Cup which commences in January 2024.
