After her 4-1 (8-11, 9-11, 9-11, 11-9, 4-11) victory over Csilla Dora Madarasz in her opening table tennis women’s singles match at the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Nigerian representative, Edem Offiong, 34, was knocked out of the event by three-time American Champions, Lily Zhang.
Edem nets her return, consequently handing Zhang the match point.
The Nigerian put in a great effort but her Tokyo 2020 journey ends after a 1-4 (13-11,2-11,2-11, 8-11,6-11) loss to 3-time American champion Lily Zhang.
