Tobi Amusan has pulled out from running due to ill health at the ongoing 23rd Senior Athletics Championship in Cameroon.

According to reports, it was as a result of an infection diagnosed to be ‘Sore throat’ that prevented the World 100m hurdles Champion’s bid of becoming the third Nigerian high hurdler to win the 100m hurdles three times at the African Athletics Championships.

Amusan, who won the Women’s 100m Hurdles Final at the National Trails in Benin City, Edo State, hopes to continue the form when she files for Nigeria at the 100m Hurdles Heats.

Recall that Amusan thrilled the Benin fans with her Hurdling prowess, successfully defending her national title, and warming up for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
