Top Moroccan Football Chief Arrested For Drugs, Money Laundering

The reports coming from Morocco are not palatable as one of the country’s top football official has been arrested for the international drug trade and money laundering.

Said Naciri who is the boss of the Botola side Wydad Casablanca was arrested in the early hours of Friday.

He is alleged to be involved in the drug business and money laundering and is already in police custody for further interrogation.

Despite having a decent performance in the maiden edition of the African Football League, Wydad has been struggling in the CAF Champions League.

The arrest of the club boss may further deepen the crises rocking the club.
