The hope of the Egyptian Premier League giant Zamalek to get Nigerian star John Okoye Ebuka is not likely to be realised this season.
Since joining Ceramica Cleopatra three seasons ago, the 26-year-old Nigerian has been a big revelation in the Egyptian Premier League.
Zamalek who won the CAF Champions League in 1996 continues to rebuild their squad ahead of the group stage of the competition this year.
They targeted Ebuka and offered $850,000 for him but Cleopatra turned it down outrightly and requested a whopping $1.3 million.
Ebuka scored 26 goals in the last Egyptian league season.
