Greece’s Premier League club PAOK Salonika have agreed on a deal with the English Championship side Watford FC for the services of Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong.
The utility player started the 2022/2023 season with the Hornets before joining the Italian Serie A side Salernitana on loan during the January winter transfer window.
The Greek side agreed to the move for $1 million and the player is expected to arrive in Thessaloniki for medical and contract signing.
Ekong made 9 appearances for Salernitana and scored once last season.
He also made 64 appearances and netted twice for Watford before 2020-2022.
