Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Fenerbahce wing-back Bright Osayi-Samuel has expressed his satisfaction with his goal despite playing the game with injury.
Samuel was omitted from the Super Eagles’ list of players that will play the final group match in the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe and no reason was stated for his absence.
The hardworking winger was in action for the Yellow Canaries in the game against Ankaragucu on Sunday despite having a muscle issue and he was able to score the winning goal.
“It’s been a difficult game for us on Saturday night. Field made it even more difficult. I have muscle issues so didn’t give my best effort but I am happy with the goal”, he said.
