Barely 24 hours before their clash against Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, the camp of the Dominican Republic is in a nervous state as one of their defenders Sabatian Manon is ruled out of the competition.
Manon had just recovered from the injury he suffered while they were in training camp in Spain but it relapsed on Friday and has been dropped from the team.
“Presented a relapse in one of the training sessions before the start of the World Cup as a result of right lumbosciatic pain that limits his physical sports activities and therefore his performance”, the medics confirmed.
Thomas Jungbauer has been called up to take his place.
The Dominican Republic will face Nigeria’s Flying Eagles on Sunday.
