Ahead of the crucial game against Italy, Nigeria’s Flying Eagles midfielder Victor Eletu has said they will put in their best to qualify for the next round of the competition.
The Nigerian side seats second behind Italy in the group after they defeated the Dominican Republic 2-1 in the opening group match.
The Italians surprised bookmakers by beating the South American champions 3-2 in their opening match.
While speaking ahead of the game against the Juniro Azzurris, the AC Milan player admitted that it will be difficult but believed they can get a positive result from the game.
“The only way we can beat them is to play as a team.
“We will give our best to qualify for the next round.”
“It will be a tough game against Italy as three, four of their players have already played for their first-team clubs,” he said.
Nigeria and Italy will come face to face in Mendoza on Wednesday by 7 pm.
