Former Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder and captain John Obi Mikel has described the contributions made by his compatriot Victor Moses during the 2013 African Cup of Nations as massive.
The former Chelsea winger played an active role in the competition scoring two vital goals against Ethiopia in the final group game which eventually qualified Nigeria for the quarter-final of the tournament.
“And the player that I played with, you know, I played with lots of great players. But then it will come down to when we won the tournament and one player that I enjoyed his impact on the team then.
It was massive, was Victor Moses. “Victor was really on his game when we won the Nations Cup. He played a massive role which helped us to win the tournament, ”Mikel told CAF media.
