It has been a blissful week for Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, WAFU-B champions who returned to the country earlier this week to a loud ovation and cheers, after their success in Niger Republic.
After being hosted to a ministerial ceremony by the Sports Minister Sunday Dare, , Nigeria’s U-20 boys team also smiled home with $2,400 each, as camping allowances due to them.
Aside each player returning home with this largesse, they were also given 60,000 Naira each for their transportation to return home.
The Flying Eagles will be converging again later in the year, as preparations for next year’s U-20 African Cup of Nations, Egypt will get underway.
