Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has declared his team is in Abidjan to beat the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.
A point will be enough for the Super Eagles to secure their place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals to be hosted by Morocco.
Eguavoen however said they want maximum points from the game.
“We’ll fight for every ball and for every point, and that’s what we want to do tomorrow (today),”he told the Super Eagles media.
The three times African champions are topping the group table with ten oints in four matches. Nigeria will face Benin Republic on Thursday in Abidjan and host Rwanda in Uyo on Monday in the last match of the 2025 African Nations Cup qualifier. The 2023 African Nations Cup runners-up needed just one point from the two matches to pick AFCON ticket
