The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has declared that the target of the Federation is to win the forthcoming AFCON 2022 in Cameroon
While speaking after sealing a mega partnership deal with the country leading Lotto company, Baba Ijebu Lotto, Pinnick said
“What we want to do right now is to ensure that we qualify for the world cup and by God’s grace we have started that on a good steer.
“We also want to make sure that we don’t want to come second or third in the Nations Cup in Cameroon We want to win it
The FIFA executive member also affirmed that FIFA president Gianni said Football is life in Nigeria
“Nigeria is not just a regular football nation, according to what Gianni said ‘Football is Life in this country’. So we try to minimize every form of mistakes that you can make as much as possible.
Pinnick continued by appreciating the media for promoting football in Nigeria
“I really want to appreciate the media, thank you guys for all you have been doing in promoting and supporting us.
The Super Eagles are drawn alongside Egypt, Guinea Bissau and Sudan in Group D of the AFCON 2022 that will take place in Cameroon.
