Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has finally revealed the reason he continued to use the face mask despite healing of his facial injury.
The Nigeria international sustained a facial injury earlier last season which prompted him to use the mask based on the medics’ recommendation.
While speaking to Tutto, Osimhen revealed that the mask has become a trademark for him.
“I am so used to wearing it now that I think I always will. I risked a lot that time, now it has become a sort of trademark for me”, he said.
Osimhen is expected to be back in action for Napoli next month and may also be ready for the 2026 World Cup qualifier.
