As Ghana U20 Women’s team intensified their preparations for the 2023 WAFU B championship, head coach Yusif Basigi has made it clear that they will not underrate any opponents.
Kumasi, Ghana has been named as the venue for the tournament and Nigeria’s Falconets are among the 7 teams that will take part in the competition.
The team under Basigi commenced readiness 2 weeks ago and gave updates on their preparations on Friday morning.
“Every country is doing well in football now and we need not underrate or underestimate any side, in as much as we have the talents, there is more to that.”
“We have to think of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup itself and we need to put our structures in a way to aid us to qualify after which we look at what we can do to go past the group stages”, he said.
