Wydad Casablanca of Morocco versus Enyimba International of Nigeria second leg of the quarter-final of the maiden African Football League has been shifted from Wednesday to Thursday.
This follows the delay witnessed by the flight of the Nigeria champions to Morocco caused by the Moroccan authority. Enyimba contingents had to spend almost 12 hours at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos because the Moroccan authority didn’t give the go ahead for the take off the flight. The NPFL team was scheduled to arrive in Casablanca on Monday and started preparations immediately in readiness for the second leg but that was aborted due to late arrival and the match shifted to allow the visitors settle ahead of the encounter. Wydad Casablanca had on the First leg pipped Enyimba International 0-1 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium Uyo on Sunday.
The 2003 CAF Champions League winners will have their hands full on Thursday to upturn the 0-1 deficit in Morocco. The Head Coach, Finidi George is optimistic that his boys will quali fy for the Semifinal despite losing at home.
The Second leg holds at the Mohammed V Sports Complex at 7:00pm.
