All is now set for the hosting of the 6th edition of the National Youth Games holding in Ilorin, Kwara state.
The games which has seen the registration 36 States of federation and FCT will witness competition in 33 sporting endeavors
Speaking to exclusivenews.com.ng, Director of Grassroot sports, Alhaji Bode Durotoye said ‘the event will kick off at the earlier scheduled date, however, some events might likely be shifted to another venue due to the school programs clashing with some of the events at the beginning.”
He also said some of the halls meant for accomodations of guests and participants might not be available at the beginning of the games but alternative arrangement is being made to ensure the smooth running of the event”
“We are finalising the modalities for the games with the school,knowing that some of their programs we still be running by the time the event starts and we would not want to disrupt their activities, however, we are almost done with the arrangement for some of alternative venues for some of the sports that will be affected” he concluded
