Temperatures to remain moderately hot across Egypt on Friday


Meteorologists predict moderately hot weather during the daytime on Friday in Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate temperatures on the northern coasts, higher temperatures in northern Upper Egypt, and very high temperatures in southern Upper Egypt.

Temperatures will grow milder at night nationwide, with moderate temperatures expected for southern Upper Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 28C in Alexandria, 35C in Cairo, 38C in Qena, 39C in Luxor, and 40C in Aswan.

Winds are predicted to be moderate in Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, several areas in northern Upper Egypt, and in South Sinai, and may disrupt maritime navigation.

Minimum and maximum humidity levels expected are: Cairo and Lower Egypt 30-85 percent, the northern coasts 45-87 percent, northern Upper Egypt 25-65 percent, and southern Upper Egypt 15-40 percent.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging from 1.5 to two meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be rough, ranging between two and three meters in height, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
