Following his amazing performance in the competition, Nigeria’s Flying Eagles defender Solomon Agbalaka has been named in the team of the group stage.
The soccer ruling body on Tuesday released the list of players that were outstanding at the group stage of the tournament and Agbalaka prominently featured.
Agbalaka scored the only goal of the game in Nigeria’s 1-0 win over host the Young Pharaohs of Egypt.
He was adjudged the Man of the Match in the matches against Egypt and Mozambique.
According to the list released, the Young Teranga Lions of Senegal dominated the team with 4 players, Congo and Uganda had 2 each with Benin contributing one player.
