Ahead of the 2023 FIBA Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament, the invited players of Nigeria’s D’Tigers have arrived at the team camp, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigeria Basketball Federation( NBBF) last weekend invited 15 players led by Chimezie Metu to camp for the preparation for the qualifying tournament.
According to the update from the team’s camp, all the invited players have arrived Lagos and they have commenced training under Coach Odaudu.
The participating teams that will slug out for a coveted spot to represent the continent at the next Olympic Games are Senegal, Mali, Uganda, Congo Democratic Republic, Cameroun, Guinea, Tunisia, and host, Nigeria.
The qualifier will be held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos from August 12 to August 20.
