Eguavoen who stands in the absence of a dismissed Coach Salisu Yusuf following the non appointment of another one said “Everybody can’t come in at the same time. This is only the first game, other games might come and everybody will have equal opportunity.

“If we have left out some players this time, they should not feel so bad.” The former Super Eagles coach also spoke on how he picked the players from the domestic league for the Mexico friendly on July 3 in Los Angeles, USA.

“Selection was a bit difficult because information came a little bit late, I have been to a few games, so too Paul (Aigbogun), and we penciled down a lot of players and I had to also rely on information from coaches that I know in the league,” he explained.

He said he has been impressed with the team’s first training in Abuja , maintaining that the situation in under control despite the criticisms.

“First training was impressive, the players all looked very fit because their season is still on. They are catching up, nothing to worry about,” he said.
