Nigeria’s Falconets Beat Korea Republic In Colombia 2024 Campaign

Two-time runners-up Nigeria began their campaign at the 11th FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup finals with a crucial late winner over Korea Republic.

The Falconets started their campaign like a house on fire via Flourish Sabastine’s 86th minute winner in a keenly contested tie decided at the 10,000 -capacity Estadio Metropolitano de Techo in Bogota.

The win means Nigeria are second with three points and one goal while table toppers, Germany have three points and three goals having defeated Venezuela 5-2 in group D game. The 2010 and 2014 finalists put forward their strong foots with total 14 shot at goals, two on target while Korea Republic had seven shot with just one on target.

Falconets have met Korea Republic four times and won all the four games leaving no bragging rights for the Koreans. Nigeria will face Germany in the top-of-the-table duel on Wednesday at 23:00pm Colombian time.

Meanwhile, Paraguay beat Morocco 2-0 in Group C encounter.
