Wednesday and Day of Arafat holiday see hot, windy weather across Egypt

Meteorologists predict hot weather on Cairo and Lower Egypt on Wednesday and the Day of Arafat holiday on Thursday accompanied by light rains, with moderate weather on the northern coasts and very hot weather on Upper Egypt.

Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt are expected to see hot weather on Wednesday, with moderate weather on the northern coasts, and very hot weather on South Sinai, the Red Sea mountain range and Upper Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following areas are: 31C in the northeastern coasts and central Sinai, 37C in Lower Egypt and Greater Cairo, 41C in northern Upper Egypt, 42C in South Sinai and the Red Sea mountains, and 46C in southern Upper Egypt.

Mist will affect visibility in the morning hours in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and the northern coasts, accompanied by light rains on South Sinai and foggy rains on Southern Upper Egypt.

Winds will be moderate across most of the country and particularly active on Cairo, the northwestern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt, and several areas in south Sinai, disrupting maritime navigation.

The Day of Arafat holiday on Thursday is predicted to see hot weather on Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate weather for the northern coasts and very hot weather at South Sinai, the Red Sea Mountains and Upper Egypt.
