West Ham credited with interest in Man United-linked Moises Caicedo


Another English side have recently been credited with an interest in reported Man United target, Moises Caicedo.

Recent times have seen Manchester United set their sights on emerging young talent.

The delayed summer window of course saw the Red Devils secure the services of Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo, both of whom are under 20 years of age.

Last month, meanwhile, it was suggested that the Manchester giants had set their sights on another starlet, in the form of 19-year-old midfielder Moises Caicedo.

Caicedo is currently plying his trade with Independiente del Valle, having made his way through the youth ranks of the Ecuadorian outfit.

He has notched 31 appearances for the club’s senior side, and was also handed his senior international debut for Ecuador in October of 2020.

West Ham linked with Caicedo

Amid United’s links to the youngster, Independiente del Valle’s general manager recently revealed that a whole host of clubs – including two from England – are keen on Caicedo.

And now, the identity of one such Premier League outfit has been revealed.

It is claimed that West Ham are lining up a meeting with Caicedo, having tabled an offer for the up-and-coming midfielder:

In another blow to the hopes of Manchester United’s fans, meanwhile, the reliable Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Red Devils are ‘now oriented not to sign Caicedo’:
