Newly appointed Super Eagles head coach, Eric Sekou Chelle, expressed his pride in taking on the role.
The France-born coach made the remarks during his unveiling in Abuja on Monday.
Chelle promised to transform the Super Eagles into a formidable goal-scoring team, reflecting his passion for attacking football.
“I am extremely proud and honoured to be named the new head coach of the Super Eagles,” Chelle said.
“Nigeria has a rich football history with legends like Ikpeba, Amokachi, Amuneke, Oliseh, Yekini, Eguavoen, Finidi, West, Obi Mikel, and Babangida.
“I was a fan back then, and I still admire the new generation with talents like Lookman, Osimhen, and others.”
“I have always had a love for scoring goals. My teams are never short of goals, and I promise the Super Eagles will be no different,” he added.
