Cameroon has been saddled with the responsibility of hosting the African Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship slated for August.
Cameroon and Egypt bid to stage the competition but Cameroon got the nod from the Confederation of African Volleyball Association.
The president of the Cameroon Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY) Bello Bourdanne expressed his excitement over the hosting right.
” Yes! We work in synergy with public authorities and all stakeholders. The newly appointed technical staff is hard at work, and contacts at various levels have been made.
The preparation machine for this prestigious event is already in motion. Aware that August is tomorrow, Fécavolley is happy with the arrangements made by the government which, gradually, lets us understand four months before the event, that Cameroon is waiting for a party that we want to be beautiful in every way”, he said.
The Championship will take place from August 6 to 18, 2023 at the Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Center.
