Nigeria’s Super Eagles and OGC Nice forward Terem Moffi has described his goal in the game against FC Basel as a special moment.
The French Ligue One side held Swiss club FC Basel to a 2-2 draw on Thursday in the Europa Conference League with Nigeria international scoring both goals for the away team.
It was Moffi’s acrobatic second goal that caught the attention of football fans across the globe with some already picking it as the goal of the year.
“It was a special goal, a special moment. I would never have imagined scoring such a goal.
Honestly, I had no idea what I was doing. I saw the ball coming and I tried. The goal of the year? Maybe not, but maybe the goal of the competition”, he told Canal+.
The Left footed attacker joined Nice from FC Lorient during the winter transfer window after a decent outing in the first stanza of the league.
