Newly appointed Napoli coach Antonio Conte has said he doesn’t want to get involved in the transfer situation of Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian International has been a subject of transfer discussion since the end of the season and several clubs have signified interest in having him.
Conte held his first press conference as the coach of the team on Wednesday evening and he admitted that Osimhen is a top player but doesn’t want to involve himself in the matter
“As far as Osimhen is concerned, just as I knew very well about the situation of Kvara, Di Lorenzo, Anguissa, Lobotka, on whom I had an absolute veto, I know very well about the Osimhen situation.
I know that there are agreements with the club, it’s a different situation, which I’ll witness.
Then if you ask me about the player, he’s a top player, but I can’t get into any discussions about Osimhen because these are previous agreements”, he said
