The Interim coach of the Super Falcons, Justin Madugu, has heaped praises on the Nigeria Women’s Football League Stars who played in the international friendly between Super Falcons and Algeria.

Nigeria faced Algeria in doubleheader friendlies with the team being largely dominated by home based players.

Only 6 foreign based players were invited for the games which gave room for the local based players to exhibit their skills.

Nigeria defeated Algeria 4-1 on Tuesday with Folashade Ijamilusi who is playing at home scoring a hat trick.

“We’ve seen a lot of potentials. Some of them have really shown what they can bring to the table.”

“These games were important because if you don’t give them a chance, there’s no way to know if they can meet expectations.”

“Frequent meetings and friendly games help us build chemistry. Short camps allow us to test players’ abilities, and we’ll invite the foreign-based players when we have longer windows.”

“We’re constantly evaluating. More than half of these players could still make an impact, even against tougher opponents,” he said.
