Super Eagles dribbling wizard at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations Moses Simon has insisted that the Super Eagles are not afraid of facing any team in their round of sixteen clash on Sunday, January 23.

The Super Eagles possible opponents in the next round is becoming clearer after the results of the final round of matches in the group phase.

The Augustine Eguavoen-led side will face the third placed team in Group E containing Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Sierra Leone and Algeria or one of Gambia, Mali or Tunisia in Group F.

Simon has proved to be the Super Eagles’ most potent attacking threat at the Africa Cup of Nations with his pace and trickery, and has a goal and assist to show for it.

Beyond his goal involvement, the work done by the Nantes winger led to the goals scored by Samuel Chukwueze and William Troost-Ekong.

Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone monitored in Lagos, after the win against Guinea-Bissau, he said ”actually we don’t have any pressure, we are a group that believe in ourselves, and I believe there is no pressure, we just need to take things step by step.

“Actually we don’t have any favorite team, we just believe any team that comes our way we will do our best to win.”

The Super Eagles have placed on the podium a record fifteen times at the Africa Cup of Nations with three gold medals, four silver medals and eight bronze medals.
