Canadian music superstar, Drake has tested positive for COVID-19 which had led to the postponement of the scheduled Young Money reunion.
It was gathered that Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, the original Young Money trio, were scheduled to perform at the ongoing Budweiser Stage in Toronto as part of Drake’s October World Weekend festival.
The festival has been running since July 28th and was scheduled to end yesterday, August 1 with an epic Young Money reunion.
Unfortunately, the Champagne Papi himself tested positive for COVID-19.
He took to his Instagram story to announce his diagnosis and the postponement of the show, promising to have the show rescheduled as soon as possible once he’s healthy.
“I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for Covid and the Young Money reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the SOONEST date possible. I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked,” the 35-year-old posted.
He added: “Until then I hope everyone stays safe and healthy and I love you all […] I am so sorry for letting you down on our weekend together and the moment I test negative I will give you everything I got on stage (except the Covid).”
We wish Drake the speediest of recoveries!
