Shakira Shakiraa met a man at an airport in California and within a few minutes of conversation, he upgraded her flight ticket from Economy class to First class.
They would go on to date for five years, she told Ibrah Mukasa while appearing on his YouTube channel.
Shakiraa, real name Shakira Kamulegeya Kyebalaba, and the man, who is Ugandan, were flying from the U.S. to Uganda.
On arrival in Kampala, they exchanged numbers and met later and dated for five years.
She told Mukasa that they broke up after her music career took off and he started becoming “insecure” because of the life she was living.
The man’s family also didn’t her personality because of the way she acted on stage. Going through her Instagram will give you a hit if you’ve been around conservative people.
When they broke up, she forgot her pink G-string in his house. He told her to never come back for it when she asked.
Her first single was Nfa Nawe which was produced in Uganda. Her first hit was Celeb, which she did with Daddy Andre, followed by her Collabo with David Lutalo titled Am in Love.
Her song Lokomoti featuring comedians Maulana & Reign won her an invite to perform for the Nabagereka.
