Ugandan media personality, Etania Muthoni has promised to connect songwriter Nandor Love to Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido when he comes to Kampala.
Nandor Love, however, revealed that Big Eye did not credit her for writing his 2024 single Mikono Juu.
“Mikono Juu is my art from A to Z,” said Nandor Love, who was appearing on NRG Radio in a show co-hosted by Muthoni, better known as Forever Etania.
In a recent interview, when he was asked who wrote the song that now has over 500k views on YouTube, Big Eye claimed it was written by one of his team members without naming the exact person who penned the lyrics.
According to Nandor Love, whose real name is Dorcus Tendo Nantume, every single lyric in that song was written by her and the crooner also didn’t change a single thing about the composition of the song.
Mikono Juu was recorded by Ayo Lizer, the in-house producer for Diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi Records, and it racked up over 300k views in just four days.
The song, whose video, was filmed by Jahlive, is now the most viewed on his YouTube channel, beating videos that are nine years old.
Ayo Lizer, real name Iraju Hamisi Mjege, also produced Party Mood by Azawi, which is off her African Music album. At 2.8 million views, Party Mood is Azawi’s third most-watched video on her YouTube channel. The video was filmed by Marvin Musoke.
Still with Swangz Avenue, the beatmaker, who also goes by Lizer Classic — recorded Vinka’s Thank God, her second most watched video on YouTube at 3.7 million views. The video was also filmed by Marvin Musoke.
Meanwhile, Etania promised to get Nandor Love an opportunity to write for Nigerian star Davido when he comes to Uganda. She claimed she is friends with the Unavailable hitmaker.
Davido’s Kampala concert dubbed Timeless will be held on March 29 and it is sponsored by Fenon Records, NTV Uganda, and NRG Radio.
