Nigerian crossdresser and socialite Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky on Monday finally regained freedom after spending 4 months in prison over naira abuse.
The socialite was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in April 2024 for mutilation of the naira notes.
He was sentenced to six months in prison without the option of a fine.
A new video posted on Instagram by Bobrisky’s friend, Abiodun Folashade Tokunbo, on August 5, 2024, confirmed the reports that the socialite had been released.
Her caption read, “Finally, O.U.TTTTT… BOBRISKYYYY fine die,” and Bobrisky commented on the post, saying, “I love you.”
