Nigerians mourn late Baba Suwe

Nigerian including the former Vice President of the country, Atiku Abubakar have mourned the death of Nigerian Comic legend, Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe.

Baba Suwe died on Monday after a long battle with an illness.

Baba Suwe was born on August 22, 1958 and was married to comedienne Omoladun Omidina, who died in September 2009.

He dominated the Yoruba movie industry for decades, featured in several movies and bagged many awards.

Atiku mourning the actor thanked him for bringing joy into most Nigerian homes.

His tweet read: “ Babatunde Omidina, aka Baba Suwe, thank you so very much for bringing so much happiness and joy into our homes. May your soul rest in peace.”

Other Nigerians have taken to social media expressing sadness over Baba Suwe’s death.
